About Rehab Coding Services
Rehab Coding Services is a health information management consulting company that works with inpatient rehabilitation facilities (IRF), long-term acute care (LTAC) and skilled nursing facilities (SNF) to help resolve coding and reimbursement issues as well as HIM operations.
The coding and auditing services include IRF-PAI and UB coding for rehab and diagnosis coding for the MDS. Our entire staff is credentialed by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
John Barrilleaux
Principal Consultant
John Barrilleaux is the principal consultant with Rehab Coding Services. He has over a decade in health information management. Those years have been spent in acute hospital HIM departments and with various post-acute care facilities across the country.
He has held positions as director, project officer, and IRF coder/coding educator. John is active in the American Health Information Management Association serving in the house of delegates and as a member and chair of several AHIMA practice councils.
You can find published work on inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) through the Journal of AHIMA. There are also several webinars published on post-acute care coding and ICD-10-CM updates for IRF, SNF and LTAC. John is also an assistant professor at Southern University at New Orleans.
